These gauges are a MUST for tuning your bike. Knowing your temp of your bike is absolutely necessary for tuning, and keeping your bike from seizing. An extension is necessary to mount the unit on the headset. No need for any wiring, just peel and stick to the scooter. These units are made in Washington. Trailtech has stellar customer service, and I do my best to use products made in the USA.
